Getting Started With EcoWeb

From domain registration to launching your new website, EcoWeb is there to guide you every step of the way.

Taking Your Business Online

In todays business community, having a website is often more valuable than a business card. If you’re starting a new business venture or developing your personal brand. Or, looking to update your company’s outdated website. Whatever the case, creating a new website can feel overwhelming.  EcoWeb is here to alleviate any frustration you might feel, we’ve put together a comprehensive, step-by-step plan to creating your new website.

New Website Set-up

You’ll need to choose a domain name as similar as possible to the name of your company. If your company's name is already taken consider using a different extension. The most common extensions are: .com, and .ca.
Your subscription will be determined based on the number of pages and type of content you would like to have on your website. Please visit our pricing page to learn more about EcoWeb's subscription plans.
All EcoWeb subscription plans include free hosting on our server. When you purchase a website plan with us we will send you instructions on how to redirect your domain to our hosting server.
During your kick-off meeting, your EcoWeb account manager will help guide you through the theme selection process. There are millions of compatible themes to choose from, it is our job to help you find the "best fit" theme for your business.
Once you have decided on a theme for your website it is time to fill in the boxes with content. Website content can include: Pictures, Text, Video, Call to Actions, Headers, and Footers. You will also want to choose colors and fonts to be used on your site. You can use any of the over 600 Google web fonts, and any hex code colors on your website.
An EcoWeb staff member will be assigned to your project and begin the construction of your website. You will be in constant communication with your developer throughout the entire process. Typically it takes two-rounds of edits to get your website ready for launch.
Start chilling the champaign and get ready for the launch party. Once your website is designed and ready to launch your EcoWeb consultant will move your website off of our development server and set it live on your domain.

Existing Website Redesign

You already have a domain name, so there is no need to purchase another one. However, we will still need to set up your development domain. A development domain is a subdirectory of your existing domain like newsite.yourdomain.com.
Your subscription will be determined based on the number of pages and type of content you would like to have on your new website. You may not want the same amount of pages and content as your old site, so we would encourage you to take a look at your needs moving forward and choose the best plan to fit those needs.
